    Høringskommentar Havforskningsinstituttet
    Vurdering: Undersøkelsene skal finne sted i nordlige Barentshavet. Dette er et område hvor en kan finne sårbare naturtyper, herunder høy biomasse bløttkorallen Umbellula encrinus (sjøfjær) beskrevet i OSPAR som sårbar art. Imidlertid overlapper ikke de angitte lokalitetene hvor bunnprøvene skal tas med noen definert avgrensede sårbare områder.

    Tilråding : Undersøkelsen kan gå som planlagt.

    Høringskommentar Fiskeridirektoratet
    Fiskerifaglig vurdering
    Fiskeriaktiviteten i området varierer en del fra år til år. Per 02.09.2015 er det ingen
    fiskeriaktivitet som sporer i området. Vi utelukker ikke at det kan forekomme
    fiskeriaktivitet fra torske- og reketrålere, i områdene nordøst av Kong Karls Land og
    øst-nordøst av Kvitøya.

    Sammendrag og tilråding
    Vi forutsetter at undersøkelsen utføres med aktsomhet og uten å være til hinder for
    fiskeriaktivitet i området. Undersøkelsen kan bli anmodet endret og stanset dersom
    det oppstår konflikter med fiskeriene.
